Getting settled in

So I'm finally moved into my apartment, though not settled in quite yet. Today I went shopping for exciting things like garbage cans and dish racks. When I first moved in two nights ago, I went on a major cleaning spree and majorly scrubbed my bathroom and kitchen area. Both quite tiny but very dirty so it took me awhile. Now all I need is some more furniture and a place to put my clothes.

Oh yeah, and I started teaching on Monday. So far, not so bad - I think I just need to get the hang of the schedule and figure out how long I need for things like preparing. Right now I think I'm doing a little more than I need to, but I think its necessary in the beginning. I teach kids from age 8-13 in Korean age, so about 7-12 in the States. Some of them are really cute and helpful and some of them are a bunch of punks. Not surprisingly, my hardest classes behavior-wise are my youngest and the oldest. The good thing is all the other teachers here seem really nice and helpful, and I've already gone out to eat with some of them after work, and have plans for dinners/shopping this weekend with some of them. Yayy. Now how do I break it to my aunt that I probably won't be coming to her place 1 1/2 hours away this weekend? Maybe they'll come see me and my tiny apartment.

Anyways, I dont have internet yet at my apartment so I have to do all internet related things at school - but at least there are a lot of computers here. Gotta go get ready for classes.!

I'm glad to hear things are getting a bit settled. The "outliers" are always the hardest. And yay for new friends. I'm jealous. Miss you tons.

So excited to see your apartment in person in just a few days! :) You need anything from the states?
