Back, but leaving soon

So Hannah and I made it back in one piece from Paris/Greece, and we had a fantastically fantabulous time. I posted pictures on Facebook of Paris, and Greece/Turkey are next. I took A LOT of pictures. But you know, who knows if/when I'll ever go back to those places, right?

In a nutshell, Paris was beautiful and the weather we had there was cool but sunny and very conducive to walking around the city. I think we hit all the major sites in the city, we had a couple of great meals, a lot of crepes, and a lot of gelato. Overall, fantastique!

After Paris, we went to Athens for a day and a half and then got on a cruise for about 7 days! Athens was about 30 degrees hotter than Paris, and it actually felt like summer. It was good when we were spending the day at the beach...but not so good when we were baking in the dirt paths of numerous ruins. It seemed like Athens was filled with ancient ruins everywhere you went, and it was strange to see modern stores and restaurants sharing a road with places like the Ancient Agora and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Food wise, if Paris was filled with crepes and gelato, then Greece was all about the gyros and the greek salads, so delicious!

Our cruise was good - we had a good tour group and our guide was really nice and fun. We went to Istanbul, Turkey, Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, and Kusadasi, Turkey. Every island was beautiful and picturesque, and the only bad thing was that we didn't get to spent that much time in any of the places. I've vowed to go back to Santorini one day, we didn't spend nearly enough time there. The good thing was that we just got on the boat at night and when we woke up in the morning, we were at the next island! Cruise boat is definitely a good option to consider if you want to go to several of the islands and don't want to worry about ferries and stuff. Highlights of Greece/Turkey were the Acropolis at night, The Blue Mosque, Paradise Beach on Mykonos, St John's Cave on Patmos, Ancient Ephesus, swimming in the Calderra of Santorini, and the beaches.

So now we're back, and I feel like real life is about to smack me around a little bit! I'm moving down to LA on Monday, start my field orientation on Wednesday, and start classes on the 25th. School!?! Class!? Notes?! Papers?? craaaap. I think I'm ready for this?

Okay, so t
