Workin' workin' workin'

So apparently the last post I wrote didn't actually get published when i wrote it, so even though one's a bit outdates, its two for one posts! so frikin' awesome. So this past weekend I did pretty much the same things I do every weekend, watch TV, ate, shopped, went to see a movie, etc. I got one Oscar movie checked off my list - I watched Brokeback Mountain with the K-ski on Saturday night, which means I have four more weekends to watch the other four movies before March 5. I should be getting Crash from Netflix in the mail in a day or two, and then its back to the theaters to watch the last three. K-ski agreed to watch the movies with me, so yay for that.

Brokeback Mountain was good, a bit slow, but compelling. It was kind of strange for me to watch all these actors and actresses from movies and tv shows that I've loved and watched since high school in such dramatic and polar-opposite roles. This was the first thing I've seen Jake Gyllenhaal in, but Heath Ledger was in one of my all-time high school favorites. He played the charming bad boy with weird hair and a cute smile who danced and sang along with the marching band...and really, a couple of times in the movie the thought running through my head was "Wow Heath, you've come a looooong way from 10 Things I Hate About You." And then there's Jen Lindley aka, Michelle Williams of another high school favorite, Dawson's Creek. And now she's nominated for an Oscar! Jen Lindley's all growns up. And last there's the Princess of Genovia, Anne Hathaway of a movie I genuinely love, The Princess Diaries. I was seriously disturbed when her and Jake's character were in the truck and you see her boobies for like a second - I don't want to see Mia Thermopolis's boobies!!! so disturbing.

okay, a little spider just crawled from my desk onto my keyboard. it was chilling between the "e" and the "r" for awhile. it crawled away before I could catch it eeeeeee!! It was tiny, but I hate spiders!! I can't stand the thought that its somewhere around me. bleh. not happy. now i feel like there are spiders crawling on me. :(
