Free tickets are my best friend

Lots of stuff to write about!!!

First off, the Sharks game last Friday night!!! Holy crap, that was awesome. Hannah and I got there early and we got to enter through the special club level entrance, where there were no lines for food, a bar, and TV's. We got our first beers of the night and some fried/greasy food, and then we went out to the arena to make the most time out of our front row seats. The teams were warming up on the ice, and people were crowded up by the glass taking pictures and watching. We walked down the stairs, down, down, and alllll the way down to the front where a bunch of girls were blocking our seats and taking pictures. Thankfully I've grown out of my confrontational timidness and I told the girls to MOVE it or LOSE it! (well, not exactly in those words)

our seats. were. AWESOME.

The glass is right there, the ice is right there, the players are front and center, no zoom needed!

Here's the view from the game I went to in January, with the camera zoomed:

Here is the view from Friday, no zoom:

Yeah, that's 2006 NHL MVP Joe Thornton skating right past us during warm ups. P.S., He's HUGE!!

Needless to say, we were pretty much giddily happy throughout the game because of the amazingness of our view. We got a couple of hard hits against the glass right next to us, I jumped everytime the puck hit the boards (you definitely hear it hit before you see it), and the Sharks scored two goals while they were on our side of the rink - we actually saw the puck go into the net! Also, there was a fight that went on for a pretty long time, but we didn't have a very good view of it. The Sharks ended up beating the Coyotes 4-2, by the end of the game Hannah was tipsy off 2 1/2 beers. What an awesome game. Pictures!

Jonathan Cheechoo warming up - best name EVER! AND, he's from Moose Factory, Ontario. Those crazy Canadians.

When the Sharks get introduced, they skate through a big Sharks mouth onto the ice. We were sitting right next to it!

One of the many faceoffs that happened right in front of us, this one with Sharks captain Patrick Marleau!

Sisters representin' in Teal and Black!

We were sitting on the same side as the benches - When I looked closely, I swear I was able to spot Wayne Gretzky, aka The Great One, aka the Coyotes' coach.

YAY!! They scored!! :)

YAY!!! They won!!!

We were happy, and I had bad aim. But Sharkie is waving the flag in the background!!

Go Sharks! We lingered as long as we could to savor the experience. Good times.

I'm officially a gung ho Sharks fan now. Playoffs are about to start, man I'd love to get a hand on some of those tickets, anywhere in the arena!!

Giants Opening Day recap tomorrow...I'll just say the day had its ups and downs.

You two look hot. I'm jealouse of your front row seats. Do you know the story of when Sara Kamalski and I went to a Blackhawks game. It was fun - certainly no front row. I do love hockey though. And I hope you are enjoying your computer. When do we get to have a video chat!!!
