Who wants to do a little traveling next year...?

SO! I've been crazy busy and stressed out lately, mainly because of stuff for Korea, but it's finally paid off! That's right, I have a job!!! I'm moving to Korea in mid-June (probably on the 15th) and starting my job on June 25. It'll be an interesting birthday...

I got the offer two days ago and after talking with my parents and relatives in Korea, I decided to just take it. Its actually the first job offer I got, which does make me wary, but it seems pretty legit and they've treated me well so far, so I'm taking the chance that I got a good one on the first shot. That was pretty much why I was so stressed out - because its easy to get a job teaching English in Korea, but its also easy to get screwed over by a shady school with a director just in it for the money. So a lot of homework and reputation checking and basically covering my ass was involved. Its still not 100% guaranteed that I wont get screwed over, but I think I'm also just sick of waiting and worrying. Time to take action!

The school is in a neighborhood of Seoul called Mokdong, and my cousin and family have told me that its in a nicer, middle-upper class residential area that's near a lot of nightlife and universities with young people. It looks like its really close to the subway, and my housing shouldn't be too far from it as well (the job comes with a studio/apartment!). One of the main things I'm a little disappointed about is that its pretty far from where a majority of my family live in Seoul. Seoul is pretty huge, so we're still technically all in the city, but it will probably take about an hour to get to them on the subway. But there are a couple of relatives sprinkled a little closer, and I think I'll mainly only see them on the weekends anyways so I think it should be okay.

Now all I have to worry about is getting my visa and oh yeah, packing up my life!

This is seriously happening...!!!!

Who's coming to visit me next year??!
