So...full...

So today for lunch I went with four c0-workers to a nice Greek restaurant in downtown Palo Alto. It was kind of my farewell lunch, but another girl is also leaving and her replacement came for lunch too, so a welcoming lunch as well. My supervisor is a well off wife of an executive who doesn't have to work but does so she isn't bored. In conclusion, she likes nice things and isn't afraid to spend the money for it...especially since the lunch was on the company! We started off with a sampler of different greek dips and pita - yummy. To drink we each had a glass of Kir Royale (champagne with raspberry schnapps) and sparkling water. For my entree, I had a lamb dish - and it was seriously the best lamb I've ever had, sooo tender and tasty :) For dessert - and I was surprised we were all going for dessert - I had Galaktoboureko, the amazing eggroll-shaped custard filled wrapped with filo dough piece of heaven that I've been craving since Dena's Ya Ya made and brought some to our graduation party. It measured up pretty well with the homemade Greek-Grandma version, and it also came with a scoop of pistachio ice cream. I was so full by the end of the meal, and I'm still full.

And two other great thing about the meal - it was a $40-45 meal and it was free, and we were gone from about 11:30 - 2:00 - a super long lunch and less worktime :)

only three days of work here left!

I finally joined the gym - and I'm so sore right now, its just painful. But I'm gonna get my booty into shape! gotta burn off the Greek calories...
