TeeVee

I love the TV. Everyone knows I'm pretty pop culture-obsessed, and i'm usually a pretty laid back person EXCEPT when it comes to pop culture trivia. If you say that whichever famous actor we're watching at the moment was the boyfriend in that movie last summer, and I know that it was, in fact, a totally different brown-haired-chiseled-good-looks actor, I will insist that I am right until you are worn down. Thats just me - I AM RIGHT! But I'm usually only that stubborn when I'm 100% sure that I am right and can prove it with a simple google search.

hehe. anyways.

In general, I prefer actual dramas and comedies with real actors and actresses as opposed to reality TV, but I do have a couple of exceptions especially during the summer when most shows are in reruns. In the past year (and since not being in school anymore), my guilty pleasure reality shows have been Dancing with the Stars, The Amazing Race, and recently, So You Think You Can Dance. I guess I enjoy the competitions more than watching stupid beautiful "normal" people or celebrities being followed around by cameras.

I like watching Dancing with the Stars because I was rooting for the eventual winner, Drew Lachey - because he was actually good and I'm a dork. The Amazing Race has interesting pairs in the race and cool destinations, and I like to think about how my sister and I would do if we were on the show together. I'd be the brute strength and she'd provide the sense of direction. ha! And So You Think You Can Dance has the longest title EVER, but I like watching all the dances. I think its the performing arts junkie in me that likes the dance shows, although I'm not the biggest fan of singing shows like American Idol, but thats more because its on at the same time as LOST.

Anyways, The Amazing Race just revealed the contestant pairs for their next season and there are a bunch of interesting pairs that caught my eye, most notably a pair of male models, former Miss California and Miss New York, an Indian couple, two Muslim friends, and two Korean American brothers from San Francisco! Check it out:

hmm...kinda cute! I definitely think I'll be watching this season.
