Ahh nothin' like a short week..
First off, Happy Birthday to my favoritest sister-in-law, Joanna!! She gets extra special props for having to deal with the producer of the most sick-nast, disgustingly potent farts I have ever smelled. You are more brave than I, my friend. Now go eat some Beard Papa cream puffs, watch some Anne of Green Gables, and try on the Bruce Lee jumpsuit. Happy birthday!!
Had a pretty chill long weekend, did pretty much all of the below and a little more. Ate like a pig the whole weekend and felt like one for about three days straight. Definitely need to up the gym action now, gotta work off those ribs! Got to see some old friends and have old-school fun playing charades (much more amusing when you make up the phrases - with no limits - and are enjoying some beverages :) Also went to a thrift store for its annual Labor Day everything is 50% of sale, and bought 12 books for a total of $7.50, awesome. And then I proceeded to go to DSW and buy a pair of shoes for about six times that amount...maybe a little more. Also, went to trivia last night and got pretty whooped. I've realized that my geography is pretty horrendous, and I really need to look at some world maps more often. Can you believe we actually got the capital of Canada wrong!?! That was probably the worst one. One of the rounds was slogans, and I felt like I failed my team as the only girl on the team because I didn't know what company's slogan was "Does she or doesn't she?" Apparently, its Clairol. Sorry, I've never dyed my hair.
So that brings us to today, already Wednesday! So anyone who has a facebook account probably knows by now that they've radically changed the intensity and levels of stalking that one can reach. Its a whooole different game now. They've made it so you can track exactly what changes or any kind of actions that someone has made, and at exactly what time. Its pretty crazy - you can see if I've written on someone's wall, changed my religious label, my favorite books and movies, added photos, eeeverything. And it seems like there's a pretty big backlash to the changes. There are numerous facebook groups of people who claim they hate the changes, and even petitions going around for them to go back to the original, simpler facebook. I guess people don't mind posting their interests, pictures, comments, etc, and looking at other people's profiles, but I think they feel like a line was crossed. This is like Big Brother is WATCHING YOU. I admit I think its a little creepy, and makes me think twice about what exactly I post or change. But if you could turn it off and on, I don't think it would be that bad.
I signed up for Korean classes at De Anza today, and I'm 4th on the wait list. I hope I get in.
Hangul, here I come!
