Who doesn't think of Macauley Culkin and the screaming with the aftershave when they hear/read that? Come on, everyone does.
So my parents left for a three-week trip to Korea today. Its been awhile since they've gone to Korea for such an extended amount of time, and also since they've been back during the equivalent of Korean Thanksgiving, Chosuk, which is in a couple of days. For a couple of weeks, my Dad has been talking about what kinds of food he's going to eat when he's in Korea, mainly specialties that you can't really get in America - I think mainly because they sound pretty gross. Anyways, its just me, my sister, and my cousin in the house for three weeks, and my Mom has pretty much stocked the fridge/freezer, and put me in charge of the food. Which I totally don't mind, I enjoy cooking and I'm actually looking forward to having the kitchen to myself and being able to try out recipes that have been sitting in my desk drawer. Hannah and I have also talked about throwing some kind of party, in honor of the parent-less house...but we realized that we're not in high school, or college anymore, and we totally don't have enough people to invite. Hannah could have a law school party, but then people would expect too much booze, and she don't wanna do that.
While she's in Korea, my Mom is also on a mission to get advice/information from all our relatives that are in the education field on teaching English in Korea. Its an option I'm seriously considering for next year, and pushing grad school back one year. Doing some investigation...we'll seee.
Went to LA this past weekend to hang out with Jo and Phil and my cousin and her baby. We were initially going to go because another cousin from Seattle was coming down to LA with her new baby that we haven't seen yet, but it turned out that she was going to have to be in San Diego to visit her father-in-law until Sunday night. Booo for not being able to see baby Evan. But baby Eric MinHyuk was as cute as ever, and he has sooo much more hair compared to the last time I saw him about two months ago. And he's a lot more vocal and has a lot more teeth. hehehehe. We pretty much just hung out and played with the baby the whole weekend. And our car got crazy dirty on the drive back home...because of the rain! Is it really fall already?? Time flies...
