Two-face and the Screaming lady

You know that bad guy from Batman, Two-face? Well as you can see from the picture, he wears a half black/half white suit and half his face is all messed up from some kind of horrible accident. Today in the subway I saw a guy that shares an unfortunate likeness to Two-face, its just what I automatically thought of when I saw him (probably thanks to Minsoo). He was a tall middle aged Korean man wearing a dark suit, with dark hair kinda slicked back. The thing that caught my eye was that half his face was covered in what looked like a big red, semi-raised birthmark and half his face was covered in a dark black-blue birthmark. Man, that's gotta suck...I couldn't help but look at him and stare from the corner of my eye, it was so odd looking. He's probably used to the stares, but makes you think twice about complaining about the occasional pimple or two on your face, eh?

OMG. Yesterday in class in the middle teaching a lesson, there was a sound of crunching metal and then cringe-inducing screaming coming from outside the window. When I looked out the window to the parking lot below, I saw a car driving forward away from the front of a parked car with its bumper in the process of falling off (that I assumed it just backed into and hit). I could see a women on the ground to the side of the car with the bumper falling off, and people running towards her. Her face was blocked from my view, but I assumed that the blood-curdling screaming that continued for the next 2 or 3 minutes was coming from her. Holy freaking goodness. From what I can tell...it seems the woman either got hit by the car before it backed up into the other car, or the woman got caught between the two cars. All the kids were asking, "Teacher, what?" and tried to look out the window, but thankfully they were my younger kids and couldn't really see out the window. I told them that it was just a car accident and to sit down. I couldn't help myself, I had to keep peeking out the window to see what was happening after that. It felt like forever for an ambulance to come, and it was probably at least 10-15 minutes until it did. On the outside I was trying to keep it cool and keep teaching my class, but inside I was freaking out!! It looked like there was a pool of blood gathering around the woman, who wasn't moving and had stopped screaming...but I think that might have been my overactive imagination because after the paramedics moved her, there was nothing there... ha. The car must have accidentally accelerated instead of braked, or thought it was in Drive and not Reverse, but it hit the car really hard because today they were rebuilding the wall that the car had been pushed into when it got hit. Crazy!!!

Yuck. This morning I woke up with a sore throat...and now I feel the cold spreading. Wonderful. Gotta go take my vitamins and get some sleep.
