APRIL 3, 2006

Otherwise known as...Opening Day, 2006!!! As I write, my Giants are currently playing the Padres in San Diego, Schmitty is pitching, and the score is even 1-1. I'm keeping track of the game on Gametracker, which basically is a play-by-play tracker online that gets updated every couple of seconds. Let me tell you, as a Giants fan in Cubs/White Sox territory in college, this thing was the most amazing thing - especially if you're at work and want to keep track of the game but don't want to make it blatantly obvious that you're not doing work by actually watching a streaming webcast of the game. Plus that stuff costs money and Gametracker is super free. Anyways, I'm just glad the season has finally started and people can maybe take a quarter of their attention off of Barry Bonds and steroids and remember that some people just want to watch some baseball. I'm in no way a supporter of Bonds, but the guy is on my team, and when he hits a homerun or catches a fly ball, I cheer.

So if you're my friend and you currently live in the Yay Area, you should be aware that I WILL be taking you to games this season. Even if you don't like baseball, if you go to a game with me and Hannah, that'll be entertainment enough for you. Although, we don't have J.T. Snow to gush over at games anymore...Moment of silence please.

RANT: If it doesn't FRIKIN' stop raining all the games will be FRIKIN' rained out!!!! I'm so sick of the stupid rain!! March like broke the record for the number of days it rained in San Jose. I think it was something like 22 days out of the 31. I need SUN!!!! My umbrella has become like a FRIKIN' accessory!! geez.
