Randomness

Scrubs!
So who else is excited that Scrubs is going to do a musical episode this season?? Because I think it sounds awesome, especially if it means Donald Faison will be doing some more dancing. I love musicals, I love Scrubs, therefore Scrubs + musical = POISON! P-P-P-P-POISON!

Anne of Green Gables
Thanks to a tip from Jo, I found out that someone uploaded the entire Anne of Green Gables movie on Youtube. Oh how I love thee, Gilbert Blythe. Now I want to go out and buy the actual movies (excluding the Continuing Story - crap) and watch it properly instead of in 10 minute increments.

www.wherethehellismatt.com
A funny website from a guy who traveled around the world for six months and recorded video of him doing the same crazy dance on all seven continents. He got sponsored by a gum company for some reason, so he didn't even pay for any of it. Watch the video, its hilarious.

Genealogy
Since going to Korea and coming back and trying to describe how I'm related to the various people I saw, I've been wondering how all the second, third, fourth, etc., cousin and "removed" thing actually works. No one else I've talked to seems to understand how any of it works either, so I went to genealogy.com and now I finally understand!! Since I have such a huge family and are in touch with a good number of my extended family, this stuff is interesting to me. In Korean culture, cousins of different levels are all basically your aunt or uncle if they're a generation ahead of you, or your niece or nephew if they're a generation younger than you.

According to the website, the level of cousin depends on how far away your common ancestor is. If you have the same great-great grandparents, then you're third cousins. How removed you are depends on the difference in generation. Your first cousin is in the same generation as you, so they're just your first cousin, but your cousin's kid is one generation away, so they're your first cousin, once removed. Okay, my description is super confusing so just go to the website, there's a good chart that explains it all:

end randomness :)
