#21 BABY
Woo hoooo!! Northwestern vs. Michigan State = blowout!! 49-14, now thats sweet :) I always had faith, look below! So on Saturday I was on my way to the gym when I heard the score at the half was 21-7, and of course that made me happy, but sad that I couldn't watch the game. The TV's at the gym were set to ESPN, so I kept track of the game my own ghetto way by obsessively watching the scores go by on the bottom of the screen. It was so weird, almost every time the score came up, it had changed to be one touchdown more for Northwestern, to still 7 for MSU. I was literaly gawking at the screen, and a couple of times I almost fell off the treadmill. I was right below the screen so I had to crane my neck to look up to see it, and now I know why the machine's have those signs that say to look straight ahead - I totally almost bit it.
So now we're ranked 21 in the AP poll and getting some respect - but I hope it doesn't jinx us!! I don't know, somehow I think we do better when there aren't high expectations and the wins are a nice surprise - it also makes it so wins are more of a big deal, and more exciting when they happen. Next step, Michigan. And I'm going, yay!!
So this weekend is the much anticipated return to Chicago, and I've started planning out all the things I want to do/people I want to see. I'm so excited, its totally getting me through this week at work. I got this huge project yesterday that took pretty much all of yesterday afternoon and this morning, hence the lack of blogging yesterday. AND I couldn't blog at home because my stupid computer sucks butt. Or, more specifically, my wireless card has gone no-worky. Grrrr I hate being dependent on technology and feeling helpless when I can't do anything because I don't know how to FIX DA COMPUTER. Also, LINKSYS SUPPORT SUCKS. I seriously wasted half the day on Saturday trying to figure out what was wrong with the lady on the phone, and got NOWHERE. I was so stressed out on Saturday night that I had a Corona with my Chipotle burrito. mmmmm.
