Long time no post

I've definitely been busier the last week or so, but also probably lazier. Last week was legitimately busy because of board meeting/banquet preparations. I made like 400 nametags on Thursday and Friday and it turned out that I hadn't made enough extras for the night of the banquet. That was a little stressful, but really, not that important. Hannah and I dressed up on Friday for my work's banquet, and it went pretty well, with lots of important bay area people everywhere. There were two highlights. First, we found out that the Mayor of Sunnyvale was at the banquet and we were determined to meet him, but after roaming the room looking for him without any luck we were about to leave and turned around - and there he was! It was pretty crazy. I said something to the effect of "we've been looking for you!" to him. We told him we were his constituents and he and his wife were very nice, he gave us his card. Second, CA House Representative Mike Honda was at the banquet, and we met him and took a picture with him! Hannah pretty much gushed over him and I think actually made him a bit embarassed. She kept saying it was an honor to meet him. I was excited to meet him, but not on the Poli-Sci major/Lived in Washington D.C. for two years level of excitement that Hannah had. Oh yeah, and the bartender gave us two drinks for the price of one after we ordered a glass of wine and a glass of champagne and then looked at the prices - $9 each!!! What a rip off. But he was nice so that was good.

So lets see, what else...Boston is this weekend, yay exciting, need to figure out what I want to do while I'm there. I love long weekends :) I'm a little sad that this will be my first non-Dillo Day Memorial Day Weekend post-college, but I'm sure Saturday won't be completely dry - I'll be in Boston with two of my favorite Shep girls :) Too bad it can't be a full out reunion, we gotta have one of those soon.

Sad/exciting - the Alias series finale is tonight. I admit its nowhere near the quality of the first two seasons, but its still sad to see some great characters say goodbye for good. Its all about the orginal core cast, I'm gonna miss Sydney, Vaughn, Jack (ultimate badass), Dixon, and of course, Marshall. I'm hoping it goes out with a bang. What the crap is that Milo Rambaldi all about.
