Back in the Yay.

Got back from Boston last night at about 8 pm. The flight was long and a little painful, but with the help of some Direct TV and elastic pants, I got through it. Full recap with pictures to come once I upload my pictures. Overall, it was a fun long weekend with fun friends out and about Boston. Muchas gracias to my lovely hostesses.

Hannah picked me up from the airport and we went straight to Carol's 2nd birthday party at P. Frank and Patty's house. Partook in the grub while Carol opened her presents - cute sundresses, a pound puppy, some funny hats, hair clips, all of which she examined with interest. She tried on a pink and yellow dress with pockets and walked around with her hands stuffed in the tiny pockets. That girl loves her some pockets. If she doesn't have pockets, sometimes she'll just stick both her hands into her waistband. So cute.

Our family got her a dress and the pound puppy because 1 - on one especially hot Sunday a couple of weeks ago, Carol came to church wearing a wintery fuzzy dress with a fake fur collar and just looking at her made you feel like sweating. I think it affected a number of us at church that day because almost every present included a really cute sleeveless sundresses. 2 - we got her the pound puppy because despite being 2, Carol hasn't really started to talk yet, but one word she does say unprompted is a high pitched, sqeaky "DOG!!!" with lots of exclamation points after it. Whenever we're at a house with a dog, she insists that you hold her and walk towards the dog while she points to the dog and repeats "DOG!!!" over and over again. But you can't put her down or else she starts to freak out. So its definitely a combination of fear and fascination with the dog.

funny - I had to make nametags for my work's annual banquet and I had to make one for a Dr. Todd Dray. How cool would if be if your doctor was Dr. Dray?? I wonder if he often gets his name misspelled in the more well-known D-R-E version of the name.
