First blog of the New Year!

Happy New Year internets!!! Hope you celebrated it just the way you like to. On New Year's Eve, I woke up in LA (L.A. recap with pictures to come ) at 5:45 am and my Dad drove my sleeping Mom and I back up to the Bay Area. Thanks Dad. I went to church, my favorite store ever Target, and then got myself all dolled up for dinner at Sarah W's and then a party at Kasey's apartment in the city. I've celebrated the last six New Years (minus junior year at Urbana) with my high school friends, and it never fails to be a fun, crazy time. Every year we've just hung out with whoever is around in our group at someone's house, and in the words of DMB, we eat drink and be merry. This year it was just most of the girls who were in town, plus a bunch of Kasey's other friends from college and post-college and it was good times :)

My actual New Year's Day was pretty low key, thankfully. We drove back down to the South Bay in the morning (afternoon) and I went to my pastor's daughter's fifth birthday party. I got her a Hello Kitty art kit contained in a big stuffed Hello Kitty head, and a Dora the Explorer soccer ball. She's a pretty big girly girl who loves pink, but I'm trying to assert my influence and get some jock into her. I'm gonna keep working on it. The rest of the day, I just ended up vegging on my wonderful bed (that I only slept on about three nights the whole week), watching season 2.5 of Battlestar Galactica and knitting. No need to tell me how cool I am. And now, I'm back at work, getting back into the routine. This past week wasn't really a relaxing vacation and I think I came out of it more sleep deprived than when the week started so I'm actually a little relieved to have a normal schedule again. But ask me again in two weeks.

I haven't really had time to think of my New Years Resolutions, but I'm definitely going to make some and also recap last year's resolutions. Holy shnikes, can anyone believe it is 2007 already?? Insane in the membrane.
