I had my last day of work today - no more Sarah Teacher!!
Last night a bunch of the other teachers and I went to the local Canadian bar then to a Noraebang (private Karaoke rooms that are EVERYWHERE in Korea). It was fantastic! I love singing to old 90's hits that everyone knows the words of the chorus to, but not necessarily the verses. Some of my favorite karaoke tunes: Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know", Jet's "Are you gonna be my girl", Kelly Clarkson's "Since you Been Gone", and of course all-time favorite "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. Just a few, because there are just so many.
We also had the magically dangerous Korean liquor known as soju.
Which leads me to my last day of work - in which I was yes, hungover. Going out in style, as my co-workers and I decided. Thank gooooodness today was midterm day so all my classes had tests and all I had to do was sit there. shhhhh teacher's sick...just gonna take a little nap kids! Not my finest hour...but at least it was my last day!
The next couple of days are going to be filled with farewell lunches and dinners, saying goodbye to family and friends, and of course to the city of Seoul. Oh yeah, and some packing! Ahh, now that I think about it...I have so much I have to do before I go! Better start now...
I'm going to miss: Cheap Noraebangs on every corner!
I'm looking forward to: home life :)
