Just came back from having a couple of drinks with friends at a bar. And now I reek of smoke, even though I didn't touch a single cigarette.
Something I'm looking forward to: No indoor smoking in California, whatsoever! Coming out of a bar or restaurant or a bathroom and NOT smelling like I just smoked a pack. Also, Californians in general just don't smoke that much.
In Korea, smoking is really common and is permitted indoors, and pretty much all my co-workers either smoke regularly or when they're drinking. None of my friends back home are smokers and the general impression I get in California is that smoking is looked down upon. I remember in high school, the kids who smoked in the parking lot and across the street at the park were the real rebels.
I'm just looking forward to my clothes and my hair not smelling like smoke at the end of the night!
