This past weekend I had fun, Sarah style - lots of movies and shopping :) I finally got the chance to watch my first two Netflix movies, Murderball and The 40-Year old Virgin. Both highly entertaining and recommendable. Besides the swearing and some random nudity, 40-year old virgin is actually a pretty sweet movie with a totally likeable main character. I also went to see Glory Road with my sister, cousin, and some friends - and of course I liked it a lot. I'm not a huge basketball fan but I love sports and hannah and I are both huge suckers for sports movies (ie Remember the Titans, Miracle, the Cutting Edge - hey, ice skating is a sport) AND movies about racial reconciliation. Glory Road had both those things = it was good. Hey, I just realized that Bring it On kind of has both those things too...except kind of way different - racial reconciliation, Cheerleading Style. Next up for Netflix: Dodgeball and The Wedding Crashers. Hannah asked me if I'm on some R-rated comedy kick - but I'm not really, these are just movies I've been meaning to watch for awhile. Its a Vince Vaughn theme I guess.
I went to the mall for the first time since the holidays and got some nice sale stuff, saw shoes I wanted that they didn't have in my size (boooooo), and then went to Target and bought Big Fish for $10 (I love Ewan McGregor!), a Target compilation cd of a bunch of live performances with 100% of proceeds going to the American Red Cross, a new book, and other random stuff. ahhh Target, my favorite.
Today, I signed up for a retirement fund. CRAZY!!! Its a good thing the representative lady was there to help me fill out the forms though, I had no idea what I was doing - basically I told her to sign me up for things that don't really require me messing with them because I just don't know anything. I'm kind of freaking out about having to do my taxes - I really need one of those taxes/personal finances/money for dummies books. seriously.
Veronica Mars is new this week, yay!!
Here's an interesting picture:
Yes, those are poodles dancing the traditional Korean fan dance. OMG!? more like WTF!?!?! I got this off of sfgate.com and its at some obedience school in Korea. My initial reaction: What is wrong with these people/poodles are freaky. Seriously, they're wearing little hanboks and STANDING ON THEIR HIND LEGS DANCING. hahahahhaahhahahahaahahahhaha
crazies.
