So every afternoon at work I turn on my trusty yahoo launch radio station, customized to my tastes. All my favorite alternative/adult/christian rock and some pop. I used to think my music taste is fairly broad, and I'd listen to anything but country and heavy metal. But as I've gotten older, I think I've gotten a bit more picky about my music. I still don't listen to county or heavy metal, but now I never listen to rap, r&b, I hate a certain style of punkish rock (bands like Good Charlotte, Something Corporate, etc.), and I only listen to select hip hop artists. BUT I have branched out deeper into the rock genre, and some bands i'm not even sure really fit into the rock genre but nobody has any better way to describe them. ANYWAYS, the thing that spurred this thinking is that when I opened the yahoo music homepage, there is a list of the top 10 music videos. I glanced at them and realized that I didn't know any of the songs besides "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas, and I only became aware of that song very recently waaay after everyone else did, and really just to laugh at its ridiculousness. Oh, and I finally realized what Sarah Fo. has been singing for the last year.
Here's the list:
Check On It Beyoncé
Grillz Nelly
I'm 'N Luv Wit A Stripper T-Pain
Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It Dem Franchize Boyz
Yo Chris Brown
Be Without You Mary J. Blige
When I'm Gone Eminem
My Humps Black Eyed Peas
Stickwitu Pussycat Dolls
Unpredictable Jamie Foxx
Ok, who the heck are T-Pain, Dem Franchize Boyz, and Chris Brown? And how do we expect kids to learn how to spell when half of these artists CAN'T?!! I obviously haven't watched MTV in awhile.
Here's a picture for you - Part 2

Let's play 'monkey see, monkey do': Eight-year-old Gun-Mo leads the way during a promotional event for the 2006 Animal Academy show in Seoul. The monkey was drilled to skate for two weeks, the animal trainer said. Reuters photo by You Sung-Ho
Forget Skating with the Stars, these kids are Skating with the Monkeys!!!! The Animal Academy is also the place that brought us the dancing poodles. I dunno, at one point it kind of crosses over into animal cruelty - right?. But no one tell PETA 'cause you know, they already think that us Koreans are a bunch of barbarians for eating dogs.
THAT'S RIGHT, WE ALLLLL EAT DOGS!!
In fact, whenever I watch The Wizard of Oz, all I can think of is that Toto looks like he would be a mighty tasty snack!
I bet this monkey skates way better than I do.
