Yup, the birfday was on Sunday, I'm 23 and officially not of "college age" anymore. When you're 22, you could still be in college. But unless you got held back a grade or some other random reason, when you're 23 - you're definitely in another bracket. I don't feel older, it just sounds older. Ah well. Happy Birthday to my birthday/name buddy, Sarah Fo. The nachos at her birthday/graduation party last year were AWESOME. Anyways, we have the same birthday and we rock.
To celebrate, on Saturday night I went out for drinks and dessert with friends, then went ice blocking in a park on a pretty steep hill. It was pretty fun, after we finally found a 7/11 that sold ice blocks. On Sunday, I went to church and then vegged for awile and then ate some awesome homemade cookin' with my family, sans siblings but plus cousin. Then I took a bath, and then we had pie and champagne for dessert! Overall, a fun and low key birthday. I even got some presents this year. Last year, the birthday presents I got - one from my parents, one from my siblings and sis-lin-law - were combined graduation/birthday presents. So the actual birthday loot was not really. This year I got season one of Veronica Mars from Hannah, a Pocket Wine Encyclopedia sent all the way from Boston from Suki, a bottle of champagne from Lillo, a Starbucks gift card from one of my bosses, and a really pretty orchid bouquet from another boss. I also bought myself four seasons of Friends that I found at Costco for only $16.99 each. They had all but one season there, and I would have bought all of them at that price, but I couldn't really bring myself to blow close to $200 on DVDs at one time. Especially with the trip to Korea coming up...I'm hoping the present from the parents will be a little help on paying for the ticket.
Speaking of Korea, I realized on Monday that I have to get a new passport. Which sucks because I had to expedite it and pay extra to get it in two weeks as opposed to the normal six weeks because I'm leaving in 4 weeks. So including the passport I got two years ago for Europe, the temporary passport I got after that passport was stolen in Florence, the passport I have to get now + $60 to expedite it...I've spent $321 on passports in the last two years. AWESOME. And that doesn't inlude the money I've spent on getting passport photos taken each time, and the money to send the application to the passport processing place. The only people I can blame though, are myself for not renewing the temporary passport for free in time, and most of all - the punk ass MOFO who stole my bag in Florence. Its where it all started.
Lets see, what else...I have my second tennis class today, I'm taking it with my cousin and its once a week at a local high school. Yeahhhhh tennis! I'm gonna be a tennis master.
Cousin's baby #3 who was born in the last 6 months:

Check out the hair! And the chubby little cheeks! She looks just like her older sister and brother...who all look like their dad. I can't remember her name, but I'll be seeing her hopefully in 4 weeks! Baby Yae-something :)
