You don't have to be 10 to love Disneyland

This past weekend Linette, SusannaH, Hannah, and I went to L.A. specifically to go to Disneyland. We've been trying to go all year, and we finally found a time that worked for all of us. So Hannah and Linette drove down on Wednesday night while Susanna and I flew down on Friday night. Saturday we woke up waaaay to early so we could get to the park by 8 when it opened - but didn't end up getting there til about 9. It was okay though, because the park wasn't that crowded and with the help of the genius that is the fast pass invention, we pretty much finished all the major rides by 2 pm. By that time, it was bitchin' hot. It got a little more crowded later in the day, but I have a feeling the blistering heat kept away a good amount of the crowds. We pretty much just rode the Fantasyland rides (Mr. Frog and Toad, Pinnochio, Peter Pan, etc.), so we could be in AC. Also, because we're nerds and love them. So the day was pretty much made up of rides (Pirates of the Carribean was closed, sadness), sweating, and lots of Disney food. My absolute favorite thing to get at Disneyland has now become the Dole Pinneapple Whip at the stand by the Tiki Room. So FRIKIN' good!!! Oh man, I wish I could have me some of that right now.

One ride that I rode for the first time was the Buzz Lightyear interactive laser shooting ride thing. Linette and I rode together for that ride, and I had no idea what I was doing...so I just copied Linette and started trying to aim for the little tartets. Apparently, we really got into it:

This is our picture from the ride that we e-mailed to ourselves. Look at how serious we look!! Not a smile to be seen anywhere!!! I was seriously concentrating on getting those little round targets. Obviously Linette was concentrating too - she totally schooled me, her score is almost double mine. But our spaceship killed Hannah and Susanna's, neither of them scored out of the ten thousands. We totally rock.

Hannah left for Korea today for two months. I'm going to be lonely. Friends, come visit me please.
