Jang Ma Chul

aka the Korean summer rainy season...has begun. From around mid-June through mid-July, it rains and rains in Korea and is nastily hot and humid in between the rain. It's like my two least favorite kinds of weather, combined together for my own personal hell. Maybe that's exaggerating a bit, but for a girl who's used to California's dry, clear blue sky sunny heat, it kind of sucks. I would say that I'm used to it, but I don't have to be because soon i'm going going, back back, to Cali Cali.

I loved experiencing fall and spring here (eh, winter was just cold and grey and it didn't even snow much so there was no snow to make the city pretty), with the gorgeous fall colors and spring cherry blossoms. But, one thing that I am majorly looking forward to is clear blue skies and being able to see stars in the sky. Seoul is so polluted and overcast most of the time that the sky is often just gray even if it's sunny, and its rare to be able to see completely across the river. When I go home, I'm going to go hiking at Rancho San Antonio in Los Altos and enjoy the view of San Francisco, about a 45 minute drive away.

High school peeps...anyone up for a drive up to that lookout point in Saratoga to see some stars (is it Saratoga? Cupertino? not sure)? Just gotta make sure we don't stay too long or the cops will come chase us away!

Fall in Seoul, so pretty!

and pretty Spring blossoms too
