Out of it?

I'm back! This past weekend was filled with pretty green Korean mountains, some hiking, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of fish. Also spending only about $7 the whole weekend - sweet! I'm too lazy to upload photos right now, but maybe later. I do have to say that I ate a ridiculous amount of fresh, raw fish, something from the ocean that was still moving, and the eggs of a sea urchin that was still moving. Eeee! But it was delicious.

I was doing my regular perusing of people's blogs and checking facebook (aka friend stalking) tonight and I noticed a couple of people mentioning a movie called "Wall-E", which after some research, I discovered was the new Pixar movie. In what alternate universe am I not aware of the new Pixar movie even existing? Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit of a pop culture freak and am generally aware of these kinds of things...but being in Korea, I guess I've gotten a bit out of it.

I have a feeling I'm in for some reverse culture shock when I get back! I'm thinking of all the hit songs, random trends and sayings that I've missed, not to mention the news stories that I've missed. I've tried to keep up with some of the bigger news and stuff, but it's hard when you're so far removed from it all.

I just looked at the list of the top 10 songs right now and I've heard about two of them. Just don't laugh at me when I call you up and ask you if you've heard that Rhianna song, Umbrella, 'cause hey - "it's really catchy!"

Anyways, I'm looking forward to watching Wall-E. I wonder when it'll come out in Korea?

Looking forward to: TARGET!!!!! Oh how I love me my Target. There are stores kinda like Super Target's here, but they're just not the same. I can't wait to go hang out at Target.

Going to miss: Cheap Korean clothes in massive shopping centers. They're a biatch to navigate, but the cheapo in me loves 'em.

on the other hand...

Looking forward to: My good 'ole American stores with prices that aren't jacked up to double the price. AND with sizes that fit a wide variety of body types, unlike Korean sizes which are 'Small' and 'Smaller'. Gap! Old Navy! H&M! (I know it's not American but they don't have it here) I'll see you soon!
